Karma Cola cocktails part 2

A few of our mixologist friends have whipped up some cocktails featuring our own Karma Cola, which we included in the Karma Cola zine. Have a read of it by clicking the link below.

Brown, Bitter & Stirred

Mea Culpa on Ponsonby Road in Auckland is a favourite watering hole of ours. Tim tends the bar, and he explored his dark side concocting this cocktail. Not for the faint-hearted, it's an invigorating blend of coffee, spiced rum and cola twisted with Vermouth. Yeooweee!

Method: first, find yourself a handsome glass like the one in the photo above. Mix together all of the ingredients, garnish with the twisted orange peel, brace yourself, and drink.


Karma Cherry Bomb

This one's from our friends at Longrain who've successfully combined their signature hot, sour, salty and sweet Asian communal eating with the wellbeing of the people in their community, by supporting a host of Sydney's social projects and making a proper difference. They also make a mean cocktail.

Method: take a tallish glass and add your Karma Cola, white rum, almond syrup and cranberry juice. Then add a big scoop of whole fresh raspberries, a wedge of lime, and a cherry to garnish. Drink and enjoy.


Stolen Karma

This was the first cocktail we ever experimented with. It's also the hardest to mess up and arguably the quickest to mess you up. We served it at the 50th anniversary of the artist Billy Apple's Billy Apple brand and the combination of Billy's apples, Stolen Rum and Karma Cola had us... you know I'm not sure I remember.

Method: take a tall glass. Add ice. Add a generous measure of Stolen Dark Rum. Top with Karma Cola. Drink and repeat. Good health!
